Detailed Information about 1994 Honda Accord Wagon Convertible | Not too long ago, Joe Asturi worked right down the street from us and would come visit after work every once in a while with his buddy Jason. We'd stand out in the parking lot puffing on our smokes, while Joe told us these crazy ideas he had in mind for his wagon. Well, it is about half a year later and this wagon looks completely different.
You might have recognized Joe's Wagon from magazines or car shows when it had a ROOF accompanied by gold / red chameleon paint. This old-version of Joe's wagon can also be seen in the upcoming movie: The Fast And The Furious. After the filming of his car was completed, Joe decided to go topless from then on...
Joe took his wagon to Ramon Aguayo out of West Covina, CA for the chassis prep and modifications. First, the roof was removed. After the roof was removed, all the shaving and molding modifications took place. By looking at the photos above, you can see the stages in which the car got its roof chopped off, then the moldings and shavings. Once the car was ready to be painted, Joe had Mike Mallory of 2020 Autobody Tech paint his car in tasty Candy Watermelon.
The car's interior was a freakin' mess as you can see from the photos. Next step was to add a rollcage to the interior of the wagon. Ruben Alvares of Monkey Bars designed a crazy roll-cage that could accomidate this project. The finished product added a roller-coaster feel to Joe's already insane ride. To build up his interior around Monkey Bars' rollcage, Joe had David Vasquez at Apollo Auto Trim in Alhambra, CA hook him up with a nice, clean tan interior matching the rollcage.
Joe had been sporting huge chrome rims for as long as I remember... For a change in looks, Dazz Motorsports out of Baldwin Park, CA got Joe some RH Evolution Z5000's which has brought the look of his car to a whole new level.
Joe's car can be seen at almost every local show we have here in Cali, as well as magazines in the past and future. You can also catch a glimpse of what this car used to look like in The Fast And The Furious.
Joe would like to give a special thanks to: Ruben Alvares of Monkey Bars, Ramon Aguayo (chopper, shaver, modler), Mike Mallory of 2020 Autobody Tech, Dazz Motorsports, David Vasquez of Apollo Auto Trim and last, but not least: Leading Edge Customs in Santa Fe Springs, CA for the air ride system which is responsible for every lay Joe has recieved since then. Just kiddin' Joe, but you know the ladies love that air ride shiznat!
